Erasmus Days 2026 at Vocational Secondary School "Victoria" – Discover Your Internship Opportunities in Europe!

From October 12 to 14, our school will host the annual Erasmus Days! We especially invite 4th-year students to take advantage of the priority opportunity and apply for a long-term internship abroad (Erasmus Pro). We also invite 2nd and 3rd-year students to get inspired by the experience stories of other students! Come to Room 23 and take the first step towards an international career.

"Bērnība" (Childhood) Film Festival

On 23 October, Vocational Secondary School "Victoria" is hosting the "Bērnība" (Childhood) Film Festival, featuring a range of creative work alongside a market run by student companies.
The evening programme includes a short film showcase, a photography competition, a childhood-themed photo zone, games and creative activities. The audience will be able to vote for their favourite short film, and the author or team behind the audience favourite will receive a prize of EUR 100. 
We also invite you to take part with your own work: short films, photographs, drawings or animations. Send your submissions by 20 October to victoria.festival.berniba@gmail.com.

First Day of School 2026

Back to School at "Victoria"!
The new school year has begun with smiles, the joy of seeing each other again, and a little bit of nervousness. A particularly warm welcome to our first-year students, who walked into "Victoria" as our students for the very first time, and it is wonderful to see every year group back after the summer. Thank you to our teachers, our students, and everyone who helped create this sense of occasion. May this year be full of inspiration, new friendships and bold ideas!

A New Season for the Student Council

Applications to join the Student Council are now open. From 7 to 11 September 2026 you can apply by filling in the online application form here or on paper at the information point on the ground floor. From 14 September, interviews will be held with the Student Council chair and representatives of the administration to select the 10 members of this year’s Council, and on 18 September we will welcome the new Council.

On 20 June 2026, Vocational Secondary School “Victoria” celebrated the graduation ceremony for the 2025/2026 academic year, where 83 graduates received their education certificates.

Erasmus+ Mobility Competition Concluded

The competition for Erasmus+ summer traineeship mobilities has concluded, selecting motivated and focused young people to take part in an international exchange of experience
This summer, the selected participants will travel to several European countries to gain valuable professional experience, develop their practical skills and get to know a working environment in an international context. During their mobility, students will not only work in their chosen field but also improve their foreign language skills, intercultural communication and independence.
Taking part in Erasmus+ is a unique opportunity to broaden your horizons, build new contacts and gain unforgettable experience that will be a significant asset in your future education and career.
Congratulations to all the selected participants — we wish you an inspiring, successful and eventful mobility period.

Business and Commerce Students in an International Competition

We are proud to share an excellent achievement.
Our Business and Commerce students Žaneta and Raens took part in the 5th International Contest for VET Students “Learn, Know, Do, Can, Show”, organised by Riga Technical School of Tourism and Creative Industry,where Raens Mārcis Jaunzems took second place in the “Business and Sales” category.
During the competition, students presented their ideas to a jury, developed their sales skills and demonstrated their ability to speak confidently in front of an audience. Taking part in an international event of this kind gave them the chance to meet young people from other schools, gain new experience and put their knowledge into practice.
Special thanks to teachers Anita Krūziņa-Liepa, Inese Ozola and Undīne Perse-Vilerte for their work in preparing the students.
We are proud of our students and their achievements.

European Union Week 2026

European Union Week 2026 takes place at Vocational Secondary School “Victoria” from 23 to 27 February.

We invite you to take part in European Union Week. The programme includes activities and informative events, and a chance to learn more about the European Union and the opportunities it offers young people. Everyone is welcome — we particularly encourage second- and third-year students to join.
