Projects
Vocational Secondary School "Victoria" takes an active part in a range of national and international education projects that give our students new opportunities and new experiences.
Since 2014, "Victoria" has been a trusted partner in Erasmus+ projects, giving our students valuable learning mobility and exchange opportunities.
The school also takes part in the Nordplus programme, broadening our cooperation with educational institutions across the Nordic and Baltic countries. Since 2018 we have also been running the Latvian national programme "Latvijas skolas soma" (Latvian School Bag), which enriches the learning process with cultural and educational activities.
Information on current project applications for students is published on our school management portal, Mykoob. We encourage students to keep an eye on updates so they don't miss valuable opportunities to grow and gain experience.

Project "3D Learning Dimensions in Vocational Education"

Main activities: The project will map and assess current VET curricula that use a 3D approach, develop a practical database and an application suitable for both VET teachers and students, and disseminate the results among a wide range of Penta Helix stakeholders (public sector, private sector, academia, civil society and others) in the partner countries and beyond. The project's intellectual outputs will be new to the VET sector both in the partner countries and across the EU. These are: 1) IO1 "DIGICOMP 3D" — four national reports in the respective national languages and one partnership report in English; 2) IO2 "3 Dimensions Learning Model for VET" — one report in English; 3) IO3 "Skills Intelligence Database"; 4) IO4 "Edutainment App"; and 5) IO5 "3D Training Module for VET Teachers", a training module for VET educators, validated during activity C1.

ESF+ project "Pedagogu profesionālā atbalsta sistēmas izveide" (Establishing a Professional Support System for Teachers), No. 4.2.2.3/1/24/I/001
Since October 2025, "Victoria" has been taking part in the ESF+ project "Pedagogu profesionālā atbalsta sistēmas izveide" (Establishing a Professional Support System for Teachers).
The aim of the project is to establish and develop a unified, strategically coordinated system of professional support at national, municipal and school level, in order to improve the quality of teaching in general and vocational education, to foster excellence among students, and to provide teachers with methodological support materials.
In early March this year, Mārtiņš Korbs, Deputy Principal for Development at Vocational Secondary School "Victoria", took part in the 2nd ETS Conference – The Quality Bonus. The conference focused on improving the training of youth workers at national level, and on how EU youth programmes can strengthen synergy, cooperation and feedback in youth work across the European Union.
On 1 April 2022, Vocational Secondary School "Victoria" also held a methodological seminar at which Mārtiņš Korbs shared what he had learned with the school's teaching staff. The seminar included a discussion of the main challenges and possible ways to address them.
