Graphic Design

Assistant Graphic Designer

Graphic Design is a vocational education programme that prepares a new generation of designers who combine creativity with professional digital tools and an understanding of advertising, branding and visual identity. The programme teaches students to turn ideas into a visual language that captures attention and creates meaning, leading to a Level 4 qualification under the Latvian and European Qualifications Frameworks.

The programme lasts four years. Studies take place on site, after basic education (Year 9). It includes substantial work placements in print and digital media environments — more than 560 hours.

The programme covers composition, typography, colour theory and digital image processing. Students learn to work with photography and video technologies, create illustrations and develop visual identities. It also covers information and data visualisation, prototyping applications and websites, and packaging graphics.

The course includes organising design projects and entrepreneurship in design, preparing students for the labour market. After graduating, you can work as an assistant graphic designer, an assistant advertising designer, a digital content designer, a junior branding specialist or an assistant packaging designer.

The annual fee for the 2026/2027 academic year is EUR 3,100 (EUR 310 per month over 10 academic months). The school offers a wide range of discounts.
