Long-Term Erasmus+ Traineeship in Italy Completed
From 19 January to 23 April 2026, fourth-year students from our Communication Design and Logistics programmes took part in a long-term Erasmus+ traineeship mobility in Pistoia, Italy.
Over more than three months, the students worked in their chosen field at Italian companies, becoming full members of the teams there. A long-term mobility offers more than the chance to develop professional skills: it means experiencing the everyday rhythm of work, taking responsibility for the tasks you are given, and gaining experience that is particularly valuable at the start of a career.
The Communication Design students developed their creative and digital skills working on a variety of design tasks, while the Logistics students learned about companies' logistics processes, stock control, the organisation of goods movement and the principles of customer service in an international setting.
Living and working in Italy, the students developed their ability to adapt to a new environment, improved their communication skills and gained greater confidence in their own professional abilities. In their free time they were able to explore the culture, history and traditions of Pistoia and the wider Tuscany region, making the mobility a significant experience for their personal growth as well.
This long-term mobility is further confirmation that Erasmus+ gives young people the chance to gain international work experience, broaden their horizons and prepare for a successful professional future in the European labour market.
Erasmus+ (KA1) learning mobility project No. 2025-1-LV01-KA121-VET-000336321 is funded with the support of the European Union.
