Learning From One Another: Erasmus+ Visitors at Our School
From 20 to 24 April, our school hosted two teachers, Yolanda and Marta, from the Spanish vocational school IES Clara del Rey, who took part in a job-shadowing mobility under the Erasmus+ programme.
During the visit, they had the chance to get to know the Latvian education system, the way the school is organised and how learning is delivered here. The programme included meetings with the school's management and teaching staff, as well as observing lessons across a range of subjects, particularly in the Business and Commerce and Logistics programmes.
The visitors also joined study visits to partner companies, learned how practical training is organised, and observed students at work on entrepreneurial activities. They met participants in the student-run companies, which offered an insight into how young people's entrepreneurial skills are developed.
The main aim of the mobility was the exchange of experience, and discussion of current challenges in education and of teaching approaches. The visitors gained an insight into different ways of organising learning and strengthened their intercultural cooperation skills.
Mobilities of this kind make a real contribution to developing the school's international cooperation, encourage new contacts and lay the ground for further joint initiatives within Erasmus+ projects.
