From 27 April to 1 May, a five-day course titled "Innovative Teaching Methods" took place under the Erasmus+ programme, organised by the training provider iDevelop Training S.L.U. Taking part were the school's Principal, Andžela Dubinska, and Deputy Principal for Development Mārtiņš Korbs.
The course brought together teachers and education professionals from a number of European countries, creating a varied international setting for the exchange of experience. Participants had the chance to explore different approaches to organising the learning process, to discuss current trends in education and to share their own professional experience.
The main focus of the course was on innovative teaching methods that encourage active student involvement, critical thinking and creativity. Over the week, participants worked with a range of practical approaches — collaborative learning methods, integrating digital tools into the learning process, and strategies for differentiating content according to students' needs.
The programme was designed to balance theory and practice: each day combined learning new ideas with trying them out in practical activities and group work. Particular attention was given to how the learning process can be made meaningful and motivating, and to how to create a learning environment that supports each student's individual development.
The international dimension of the course made it possible to compare education systems and approaches in different countries and to draw on new ideas for the school's own development. Discussions and joint tasks encouraged new contacts and opportunities for future cooperation.
The mobility was carried out within an EU Erasmus+ Key Action 1 (KA1) vocational education and training sector project (project ID No. 2025-1-LV01-KA121-VET-000336321).
